Defending the Faith

Beloved, while I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I was constrained to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. - Jude 1:3, World English Bible translation.

This site is for contending of Bible truths, as shown in the Bible as the “faith which was once delivered to the saints.” This site is not for the defense of all the doctrines and traditions and men that have been added to, and often read into, the Bible since the faith was once delivered to the saints.

The translation normally quoted is the World English Bible translation. We use this translation, not because we consider it the “best” translation, but because it is public domain, and also because in the Old Testament it restores the holy name as “Yahweh”. In New Testament quotations in the site, “Yahweh” may be supplied in appropriate places where it is either evident, or seems probable, that some other word has been substituted for the holy name. The scripture tagger uses the American Standard Version, since the World English translation is not available by the tagger script.
